Do you have questions about getting married in church ?
Questions like :- Where is my local church ? Who do I contact ? Can I be married in the church of my choice ? Can we have a blessing service if we get married abroad ? If so, we are here to help.
Representatives from the church will be present for the whole of the wedding show at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, and we have lots of leaflets and information to help couples who are considering a church wedding. We can advise you about getting married in church if one of you is divorced and we can explain the new Marriage Measure which was introduced in 2008. This can make it a bit easier for couples to be married in a different church from their own parish church, if there has been a family connection in the past. For example, if either of your parents attended the church at any time or you or your parents were baptised there. There are also other criteria that can be applied.
We also have suggestions for hymns and readings for your service. So, do come to see us – it will be good to meet you – and we will do all we can to answer your questions in an informal setting.
